I recently completed some illustrations for the American Academy of Dermatology. The images were designed to illustrate to recurring themes found in tattoos used in human sex trafficking. All tattoos and bodies were custom designed and names were randomly selected, as we wanted to provide anonymity amongst survivors. Had a wonderful time at the 2025 @amidotorg conference! I created an exhibit poster on the life cycle of the platypus! This piece was created for the Zbrush class at @uic_bvis. A short animation exercise of a lymphocyte inside a blood vessel! I'm a master of science in Biomedical Visualization! I'm beyond thankful for my family and friends who were able to celebrate with me this weekend and grateful for their support these last two years. I'm graduating, so I wanted to share my masters research project which I defended a few weeks ago! Created for my surgical illustration course @uic_bvis, this internal editorial figure shows the outcome of the type II thyroplasty procedure for the treatment of adductor spasmodic dysphonia. Another assignment from this semester's surgical illustration class! This two page grayscale image shows the open excision of a volar radial wrist ganglion. Last semester we had to keep a sketchbook filled with portrait studies! Here are a few of the portraits I did, mostly practicing different styles and getting quicker at rendering. Done in Procreate. I created and submitted a cover last spring for The American Journal of Bioethics, which was accepted and published as the February 2025 issue cover! For our @uic_bvis surgical illustration class, we had to create a patient education piece designed for social media. After my Faces of BVIS post when out yesterday, I realized most of my work shares a common color palette. So here's an assignment from this fall to add some variation to my portfolio!
